Connect CargoWise with AI Operators for booking, document validation and quotation workflows. Keep your TMS, SOPs and approval controls.
Configured for your environment. Available interfaces, accessible records and permitted actions depend on your CargoWise configuration, account permissions and agreed workflow.
Configured around your environment. Governed by your SOPs.
System of record
CargoWise remains the home for the operational records in your agreed workflow.
Execution layer
Shipflow connects incoming requests and documents to the next permitted action.
Deployment scope
Interfaces, record mappings and write permissions are confirmed with your team.
Where integration creates value
Connect the work around CargoWise—not just the data inside it.
A booking email can contain most of the information a team needs, yet still require someone to find the right customer, check shipment details and enter the job. Document revisions and partner replies create more handoffs between the inbox and the TMS.
Shipflow adds AI execution around those handoffs. The integration is designed around a defined operation: which request starts the work, which CargoWise records provide context, and which result the AI Operator is allowed to create or update. Your team retains the SOPs and the decisions that require judgment.
Workflow opportunities
Start with the work you want to complete.
Booking and shipment creation
Turn booking requests into validated job information. Match the customer and shipment context, identify missing fields, and prepare or create the agreed record through the confirmed connection. Job creation and carrier confirmation remain separate outcomes.
Associate documents with the correct shipment and check required fields or cross-document differences against your SOP. Route ambiguous matches and discrepancies for review before changing a CargoWise record.
Bring accessible shipment and commercial context into a quotation workflow. Where rates are missing, include controlled carrier outreach if it is in scope. A historical cost or previous quote is not automatically a valid current rate.
Illustrative workflow: a defined booking request arrives in an authorized operations inbox. The exact fields and actions are configured for your CargoWise environment.
01
Identify the request
Read the message and attachments, extract shipment details, and check whether the request is new, revised or already being handled.
02
Match and validate
Resolve the appropriate customer and job context using agreed identifiers. Check required fields and raise missing or conflicting information instead of guessing a match.
03
Prepare the permitted action
Map validated information to the agreed record fields. Queue approval where required, then submit through the authorized interface.
04
Verify the result
Check the receiving system’s response and retain the resulting reference. If the outcome is uncertain, reconcile it before retrying to avoid duplicate jobs.
Connection approach
Confirm the interface before the promise.
Connection design starts with the interfaces available in your CargoWise environment. CargoWise documents integration tools including eAdaptor and Connector; their existence does not mean every record or action is automatically available to Shipflow.
We confirm the appropriate connection with your system owner, including permissions, message formats, required fields and response handling. Existing middleware or a custom mapping may be part of the scope. This is a workflow-specific implementation, not an assumption of unrestricted access to your TMS.
Setup requirements
What we confirm with your team.
System owner and available interfaces
Identify the CargoWise administrator or implementation partner, your available integration access, and any provisioning or licensing questions that must be resolved.
Representative records and requests
Provide approved sample messages, required fields, job references and examples of revisions or incomplete requests. Use a safe test environment or agreed test records.
Mapping and ownership rules
Define which source wins when information conflicts, how customers and jobs are matched, and which fields the operator may change.
Acceptance criteria
Agree what counts as a correct completed job, who handles exceptions, and how to test duplicates, rejected updates and interrupted submissions before rollout.
Control and rollout
Make access and accountability explicit.
Separate read access from write authority
Access to shipment context does not automatically authorize creating or changing records. Define both the permitted fields and the actions that need approval.
Preserve context when escalating
Give the reviewer the original request, matched record, proposed changes and reason for escalation. A person should not have to reconstruct the entire job to make one decision.
Roll out a bounded scope
Start with an agreed request type or operational team. Review completion, rejected writes, duplicate prevention and human rework before expanding to additional processes.
No. The integration approach keeps CargoWise in place and adds AI execution around selected workflows. Your team and Shipflow agree which data remains authoritative and how confirmed results return to the existing operation.
Is every CargoWise module or field supported?
Do not assume universal coverage. The available interfaces, configuration, permissions and required actions determine the implementation scope. Confirm the specific record types and workflows with Shipflow before committing to deployment.
Can we keep an approval step before job creation?
Yes. Approval can be part of the configured workflow. Define who reviews the proposed action and which changes require a new review if the source request changes before submission.
Does a customer result prove this exact integration will perform the same way?
No. A workflow result is not a compatibility certificate or a performance guarantee for your CargoWise setup. Evaluate your own request mix, permitted actions, error handling and operational baseline during scoping and testing.
